Prayer Shawl Ministry at Comox United Church
This ministry is a symbol of the inclusive unconditionally loving God to give solace, comfort and shelter to those experiencing troubles or sorrow. Currently, this ministry is under the umbrella of Pastoral Care with Valetta Nixon
as the contact for collecting shawls and receiving requests.
For it to be successful we rely on members of our church to let us know of a need either within the church or anyone who may not be associated with the church or a relative. Also we thank members of the United Church Women (UCW), the Knitting Group and other individuals who continue to create shawls.
Information about the prayer shawl ministry plus an envelope containing knitting and crochet instructions is posted on the UCW bulletin board in the hall.
