“God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.” (I John 4:16)

Comox United Church is committed to being a fully inclusive community where all are welcome to worship and explore Christian faith. Based on the hospitality of Jesus Christ we strive to accept each other as we are, and we welcome the ministry and participation of all persons regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, abilities, racial or ethnic background, or economic circumstances.

Comox United Church became an Affirming Ministry and a member of Affirm United in June 2011.  Affirm United is a network of United Church congregations and ministries that works toward the full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, and two-spirited individuals within the church and in society. Formal designation as an Affirming Ministry of the United Church of Canada strengthens our commitment to inclusion and to making our church a safe and welcoming place for all.     For more information about Affirm United and what it means to be an affirming congregation, Please click here for the Affirm United Website in a new window.
