A Dialogue about Faith Words: What do they mean for us? “To be Christian means being willing to live in the part of the self where the question is born.” (Wendy Wright) A few years ago the Faith Exploration Team facilitated several evening explorations of alternative images of God and the meaning of human life. You are invited to another set of open-minded and non-judgemental dialogue sessions where you can talk about your understanding of some of language of our faith (such as, healing, redemption, sacrifice, salvation) and listen to others articulate theirs. Wednesday evenings, March 11 and 18 and April 1 and 8, 7 – 8:30 pm, at Comox United Church in Room L7 (lower level). While ideas will be developed over the sessions, you need not attend all four. Facilitated by Cathie Talbot and Howard Robertson. For more information, please email [email protected]
Film nights focusing on such themes as, spiritual pilgrimage and environmental issues are offered for the congregation and wider community.
Book Club: are you interested in reading? Meeting new people? Talking about books? Then this is the group for you. We will be meeting after church once a month to discuss the book for that month. Our discussions cover plot, pace, writing style, characters, and opinions on the book's "likeability". Come for one meeting or come for them all. Contact Brooke at 778-316-1841 for more info.
A Library of excellent reading material is provided in the church hall.
