Reconciliation Journey: The People of the K'omoks Nation

On Thu April 23 at 7 pm, join us at the Sid Williams Theatre for "The Story of the K'ómoks: Cultural Topography of Traditional Indigenous Land Use at Pentlatch" presented by K'ómoks First Nation archaeologist Dr. Jesse Morin and K'ómoks First Nation Culture Manager Pamela Mitchell.

This presentation provides an excellent foundation of understanding about the long-standing presence of Indigenous people in the Comox Valley, exploring how K’ómoks culture is a blend of Kwakwa and Salish culture and shares powerful examples of reconciliation and cultural resilience here in our community.
