In 2007 a group of women from the Comox Valley was inspired by their African sisters who had risen so willingly to the challenge of bringing up their grandchildren, after their own children had died from HIV and AIDS. Since then, the Glacier Grannies have raised over $770,000 dollars for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

The annual spring sale will be held on Saturday May 9 from 8:00 am to noon in the upper parking lot of Comox United Church, corner of Comox Avenue and Beach Drive.

The sale will feature:

  • Vegetable starters for your garden, and hundreds of other plants to beautify your yard and home
  • Gently-used treasures
  • Lots and lots of home baking
  • Our own beautiful crafts - check here for some examples (crafts pages)
  • Locally made pottery from the d’Esterre Seniors Centre
  • Fashion jewellery
