Green Burials and More
Are there better environmental options than cremation or traditional burial after death? Krista Manuel (Funeral Director and Death Doula) will present an overview of B.C.’s current options and general costs for disposition of the deceased on Tuesday, Apr. 23 at 7 pm. Options not available in BC that are available in other provinces and in the USA will also be covered. The timeline of Natural Organic Reduction (Human composting) from its beginning stages to today will be included.
This is being hosted by SAGE (Sustainability Action Group for the Environment) and the Comox Valley Unitarian Justice Action Team. Both events will be at Comox United Church, 250 Beach Dr., Comox, but neither are religious in any way. These are free, but donations gratefully received at the door.
