Blue Christmas
The Blue Christmas tradition takes place in many United Church congregations in December. Several years ago, CVHS (Comox Valley Hospice Society) introduced the tradition of Celebrate a Life at Blue Christmas, as a way to remember loved ones and to acknowledge the complicated emotions of grief. Our volunteers also help to support the service, helping to decorate, organize, promote, and participate as readers, as well as provide emotional support if needed.This year, the Blue Christmas event will be held at the United Church in Comox on December 16th, 2023 at 12:30 pm. This invitation is extended to anyone in the community who is experiencing hardship and finds the holiday season to be a difficult time of year.
